The training landscape is evolving, and False Bay TVET College is at the forefront, recognizing that the traditional school product isn't the only effective means of studying. Their NCV programmes are made for college students who want to commence their journey toward a fulfilling career early on.

CareersPortal.co.za had a chat with the Head of Division for Engineering Studies at False Bay College, regarding their range of courses.

False Bay's Engineering NCV programmes are presented at two campuses: Westlake Campus and Khayelitsha Campus. These Engineering programmes are for a 3-year length.

NCV Engineering Course Entry Requirements

These programs start at NCV level 2 and also the minimal necessity would then be Grade 9 certificate with a pass in Mathematics.

Once the student finishes NCVLevel 2, they'd then have attained a grade ten certification. NCV Level 3 would be grade 11 and NCV Level four is grade twelve.

NCV Level 4 is at the exit website level, becoming equivalent to a Countrywide Senior Certificate (NSC).

Grade 9 is on NQF level one. Our NCV programmes start NCV stage 2 that is equivalent to an NQF level two.

On which kind of students are fitted to these programmes, they say that the world is acknowledging that standard schooling isn't always the sole method of becoming an artisan or becoming capable so if a student knows from an early age what their pursuits are, the NCV programme is in fact completely suited for that student.

False Bay TVET College will assist the student to become qualified in his field of interest. Students who want to become entrepreneurs will also have access to their Centre of Entrepreneurship on the Westlake Campus.
